Waves of Changes Starts and Ends with Us

Last weekend, our group went to Choco surf for a film activity. While we were there, I noticed that the beach was filled with trash. Plastics, bottles, and wrappers were scattered everywhere, making the place look messy and harmful to the environment. Because of this, I decided to join the coastal clean-up activity.
Even though I was by myself, I did my part to help clean the beach. I picked up bottles, bags, and even bulky trash that was left behind. At first, it felt overwhelming because there was so much waste, but little by little, the areas I cleaned started to
look much better.
I gathered more trash than I expected, and the bags I brought weren’t enough to hold everything. Some of the garbage I had to place in the trash bins around the beach. It was tiring, but seeing the beach cleaner afterward made all the effort worth it.

This experience showed me that it doesn’t matter if you are only alone helping is what actually matters and the willingness to act. Even small efforts can make a big impact. I hope that people who visit the beach learn to bring their own garbage bags and clean up after themselves so that Choco surf can remain beautiful and safe for everyone.
