THE RISE OF SCIENCE

Image
Science has always been the key that unlocks the mysteries of the world, guiding society toward growth and survival. This year’s National Science Month theme, “Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation,” reminds us of the endless possibilities waiting to be discovered. The unknown, once feared, now represents opportunities for breakthroughs that can transform the way people live, work, and interact with their environment.    The role of science in society is not only to discover but also to create solutions to pressing global problems. In the coming decades, innovations in renewable energy, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and space exploration will shape industries and communities. These advancements will not only provide convenience but also address urgent challenges like climate change, public health, and food security. Science thus becomes a bridge that connects knowledge with the survival and progress of humankind. ...

Climate Change and The Effect to Filipinos and how they Stand Up and Rebuild There Selfs Again

Image
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges faced by the Philippines today. Sudden disasters like typhoons and floods, as well as progressive changes such as droughts and rising sea levels, have severely affected the lives of many Filipinos. These environmental problems are mainly caused by human activities, deforestation, excessive use of fossil fuels, and pollution, all of which worsen global warming and weaken the environment’s ability to protect us. Despite these hardships, Filipinos are known for their resiliency . Time and again, communities unite to rebuild their homes, share resources, and practice bayanihan whenever disaster strikes. This strength gives hope and shows how Filipinos can rise above adversity. However, resiliency alone will not solve the issue if its root causes are left unaddressed. That is why collective action is needed. Filipinos must embrace sustainable practices, support stronger environmental laws, and raise awareness about climate ch...

INTRAMURALS: An Experience to Always Remember

Image
This year’s intramurals at ISNHS was nothing short of exciting, colorful, and unforgettable. From energyfilled competitions to the unity among different grade levels, it became a true celebration of sportsmanship, talent, and school pride. One of the most memorable parts for me was watching my classmates’ band perform. Seeing them on stage, giving their best, and hearing the crowd cheer was such a proud moment. Their music added life to the event and made the atmosphere even more vibrant. Another highlight was supporting our candidate for Ms. Intramurals. We were all hyped, cheering, waving banners, and showing our full support. When her name was announced as the winner, the whole section erupted in joy. It wasn’t just her victory but also ours, because of the effort, unity, and encouragement we gave. That moment of pride and happiness is something I will never forget. The intramurals wasn’t just about games or competitions, it was about unity, fun, and creating lasting memo...

Waves of Changes Starts and Ends with Us

Image
Last weekend, our group went to Choco surf for a film activity. While we were there, I noticed that the beach was filled with trash. Plastics, bottles, and wrappers were scattered everywhere, making the place look messy and harmful to the environment. Because of this, I decided to join the coastal clean-up activity. Even though I was by myself, I did my part to help clean the beach. I picked up bottles, bags, and even bulky trash that was left behind. At first, it felt overwhelming because there was so much waste, but little by little, the areas I cleaned started to look much better. I gathered more trash than I expected, and the bags I brought weren’t enough to hold everything. Some of the garbage I had to place in the trash bins around the beach. It was tiring, but seeing the beach cleaner afterward made all the effort worth it. This experience showed me that it doesn’t matter if you are only alone helping is what actually matters and the willingness to act. Even small efforts...

Recalling my First Quarter Experience

Image
This school year's first quarter has been educational and very important for me. The history of the internet and the key players who shaped it are among the most important things I have learned. I have a greater understanding of technology and its place in our modern world after learning about how the internet developed and how it still affects our day-to-day activities.   Although I did not encounter major problems throughout the quarter, I did struggle with some of the tests. These moments challenged me to reflect on my study habits and   realize the importance of preparation. To address these struggles, I focused on reviewing my lessons more thoroughly. This helped me not only to improve my scores but also to strengthen my understanding of the topics.   Moving forward, I plan to continue building better study habits and reviewing my lessons consistently. I also want to go beyond what is taught in the classroom by exploring more about technology and...

An Open Letter for Mr. President Ferdinand Marcos

Image
Dear Mr. President,    Every storm only makes the wounds of those who are already on the verge worse. Our country has long suffered from unemployment and poverty. Many of our Kababayans lose what little they have left during typhoons and other Calamity, frequently without access to safe shelter or the resources to rebuild. Relief supplies are helpful, but they can't take the place of a stable pay or the safety of a home.    I hope to implore the government to make investments in long-term solutions, such as building long-lasting shelters for families in need and generating steady  job opportunities, rather than depending only on temporary assistance like relief goods, money given by the government. livelihood initiatives and easily accessible jobs can enable our people to overcome adversity and get ready for any calamity.   Filipinos are hardworking and resilient, Mr. President. They want the opportunity to earn, build, and live with dignity, not just ...

A Healthy July to Remember: My Nutrition Month Participation

Image
Every July, schools all over the Philippines come alive with colors, energy, and meaningful activities in celebration of Nutrition Month this year's theme reminded us of the importance of eating right and living a healthy lifestyle, especially in Today's fast-paced world. At our school, we marked the month with various contests and programs, but what stood out for me the most was the Nutri-jingle competitions and I'm proud to say I was a part of it.     Joining the Nuti Jingle contest was both exciting and challenging. Together with my group, we wrote an original lyrics that highlighted the importance of balanced meals and proper food choices, and daily exercise. We spent days rehearsing our tune making sure it was catchy yet educational. On performance day nerves and excitement filled the air, but the moment we stepped on stage we gave it our all.     The experience taught me that promoting health doesn't have to be boring, it can be fun and acti...
